405 Main Street is located between Etna and Freeville on Route 366, about 6 miles from Cornell University. Our very first building, constructed in 1990, is a two story duplex. These apartments are open and airy, about 1,000 square feet of living space apiece.

The downstairs has an L-shaped eat-in kitchen with oak cabinets, NEW appliances, including a dishwasher and gas stove. A roomy pantry closet as well as a coat closet in the entry expands your storage. The kitchen is open to the living room. There is a back door that leads out to a large yard. A downstairs half bath adds to convenience of the living space. Upstairs are two bedrooms with closets, a full bath, linen closet and a bonus room that is useful for a home office/library/guest room.

Both apartments sport all new carpet. Forced hot air heat, hot water and cooking are all propane gas. A centrally located utility room has a coin operated laundry pair available for your convenience. Dryden School District.

Utilities have been running an average of $48/month for electric and $130/month for gas. Cable TV/phone/internet is available. Non-smokers only, please. We allow a limited number of well-mannered pets with references and an additional deposit of $150. Please, no pit bulls or related breeds. Too many people are afraid of them and it causes more headache than it's worth. TCAT bus stops at the corner, a hundred yards down the street.

409 Main Street is the second building Charlie and I built. This is a bright and airy duplex apartment, also beautifully maintained, in a countryside setting just a few miles from Cornell campus. The TCAT bus (Tompkins County Area Transit) stops right at the end of the driveway. It has 2 bedrooms, one is 12 by 17, the smaller one is 11 by 12.

There is a large full bath, and new carpet in the living room. The L-shaped kitchen has ample storage in knotty oak cabinets and lots of counter space, including a peninsula set up for tall stools. There is a dishwasher and gas stove. This place has cable through Time Warner, so Road Runner internet and cable TV is available. There is a washer and dryer on site. The yard is large, as well. There are garage bays available downstairs, 10 feet wide by 24 feet deep, for an additional $85/month. Well-mannered, neutered pets are welcome with references (no pit bulls or similar, please) and there is an additional pet deposit of $150.

Gas heat, hot water and cooking. Electric and gas utilities (not included in rent) have been averaging $100/month. Non-smokers only.

This place is very nice for one or 2.  Security deposit is equivalent to one month's rent.
