409 Main Street is the second building Charlie and I built. This is a bright and airy duplex apartment, also beautifully maintained, in a countryside setting just a few miles from Cornell campus. The TCAT bus (Tompkins County Area Transit) stops right at the end of the driveway. It has 2 bedrooms, one is 12 by 17, the smaller one is 11 by 12.
There is a large full bath, and new carpet in the living room. The L-shaped kitchen has ample storage in knotty oak cabinets and lots of counter space, including a peninsula set up for tall stools. There is a dishwasher and gas stove. This place has cable through Time Warner, so Road Runner internet and cable TV is available. There is a washer and dryer on site. The yard is large, as well. There are garage bays available downstairs, 10 feet wide by 24 feet deep, for an additional $85/month. Well-mannered, neutered pets are welcome with references (no pit bulls or similar, please) and there is an additional pet deposit of $150.
Gas heat, hot water and cooking. Electric and gas utilities (not included in rent) have been averaging $100/month. Non-smokers only.
This place is very nice for one or 2. Security deposit is equivalent to one month's rent.
